Leading the way with sustainable mills, setting a benchmark for successful green entrepreneurship
We believe in promoting environmental responsibility by investing in our present to live a better future. That's why we work with Mills that have implemented several innovative environmental policies aimed at creating a truly sustainable supply chain and contributing to the creation of a circular economy model.
Our business vision focuses on a deep respect for humanity and the environment, and we translate that into a real commitment to sustainability. We strive to safeguard the health of our staff, the local communities, and the global ecosystem through a series of projects.
Our Mills have embraced the challenge of being a "Green Company" and applying a structured ethical code to preserve nature. This code includes optimizing production processes by introducing cutting-edge technologies to monitor and reduce waste and polluting residuals, certifying environmental results achieved through clear data, showing a real interest in research and the use of new sustainable raw materials, supporting important international projects aimed at safeguarding our environment, contributing to the social and financial development of local communities, and spreading awareness among our employees and customers so that they can be more respectful of the environment.
After many years of research, analysis, consistent upgrades and updates, our Mills production plant can be considered as the benchmark for successful, green entrepreneurship. Their efforts are evident in various aspects of our operations, including electricity, cogeneration, water, heat recovery, air, and waste.
From 2012 reduction by 15,07% in the energy consumption per each ton of finished product manufactured
renewable electricity
In our production processes, we only use electricity derived from renewable sources. Our mills have replaced all mercury bulbs with last-generation lamps, introduced new inverters, LED lamps, high-efficiency engines, and upgraded all the knitting equipment and machinery to further decrease our energy consumption.
This has resulted in 3.774.250 kwh saved from 2021, which is equal to the annual energy consumption per capita of over 5575 people.
In 2013, our Mills won the challenge of independently producing electricity by installing a high-tech co-generation plant and using methane gas, currently the "greenest" fossil fuel, thus cutting down on energy consumption. We produce over 10.500.000 kwh of electricity internally in a year, which is equal to the energy used to light up 15 Eiffel towers for a year.

water conservation and reduction
We recognize the importance of conserving water, and have implemented various measures to reduce our water consumption. For example, we have installed water-saving devices in our washrooms, and we recycle and reuse wastewater wherever possible.
Our mills have adopted a high-tech waste water homogenization system aimed at reducing the amount of polluting agents before it is sent to the municipal water treatment plant.
We also sort rainwater from civil and industrial waters to harvest and reuse it in the production process.
We strive to minimize the amount of waste generated by our operations. We have implemented a number of recycling programs, and we use waste as a source of energy whenever possible.
OUR MILLS HAVE recovered and reused 658.941 m3 of water in a year, which is equal to the annual consumption of about 9.700 people.
5.7% of the water used in our production process in 2022 was actually recycled.
ENERGY EFFICIENCY
We have implemented a number of energy-efficient technologies at our mills, such as high-efficiency motors, LED lighting, and waste heat recovery systems. These technologies have helped us reduce our energy consumption and carbon emissions significantly.
Our mills innovative heat recovery system exploits the thermal power produced during our fabric production cycle to heat part of our premises, preventing 2.425.000 kg of CO2 from being released into the atmosphere in 2021.
Our mills prevented the same amount of emissions produced by our company cars if they were to go round the world 688 times!
Additionally, we have reduced CO2 released in the atmosphere by 34.63% per each kg of fabric produced in comparison with the early years of the millennium. This has saved 1.304.076 Sm3 of methane gas in 2021 thanks to the use of heat recovered from the fumes produced by the finishing and dyeing processes, spared 1007 TEP/year (ton of oil equivalent) in one year, and achieved a reduction by 55% in thermal consumption per ton of finished products from 2002 to 2022.
1007 TEP/year (ton of oil equivalent) spared in one year.
From 2002 to 2022 reduction by 55% in the thermal consumption per ton of finished products.
By implementing these measures, we have been able to significantly reduce our environmental footprint and improve the sustainability of our operations. We are committed to continuing our sustainability efforts and to doing our part to create a more sustainable future.
