Silou-tions: What can I do about microfibres in the wash?

Microfibres are tiny strands of plastic that are released from synthetic fabrics, such as polyester, nylon, and acrylic, during the washing process. These microfibres can easily pass through wastewater treatment plants and end up in our oceans, where they can harm marine life and even enter the food chain. Fortunately, there are several things you can do to reduce the amount that are released during the washing process.
