Welcome to the North Eastern corner of Mallorca, with its soft golden light, gnarled olive groves and super-sized azalea bushes and unspoiled beaches. In the last few weeks of the warm weather, our team traveled to the beautiful island to shoot the Venus Collection. What better backdrop than the romantic coastline and dramatic mountainscapes to bring to life our vision for the range. We shot on the beach of Playa San Juan.
Inspired by the bold organic tones of a seascape at sunrise, The Venus Collection takes the Silou woman on a journey. Embracing nature’s contrasts, the collection colours transition from soft pinks of early sunrise to the nuances of the rocky landscape.
The day started bright and early with hair and make-up taking place in our purpose build beachside hair and makeup tent. Hair was carried out by celebrity hairstylist Mike Desier and make-up by Paris based make-artist Dariia Day.
Swiss-German photographer/director Rafael Stahelin was our go-to photographer for the campaign shoot. We were very excited to work with Raf to bring a fresh new perspective of the brand. Raf is based in London, and works between New York, Paris, London and Los Angeles.
We also had our Co-Founder Phoebe Greenacre directing the video content and Kelly from our Marketing team capturing all of our social snaps.
The Venus collection is very different from our past collections, with bold colour blocking styles and stong shapes and Silou-ettes. We needed a model who would compliment the boldness of this collection and to bring a fresh vibe. Enter, Russian model, Evgeniya Fedoseeva – known and adored for her signature full eyebrows and perfect above-the-shoulder haircut. With 20 years in modeling, Evgeniya has modeled for the likes of Elle, Harpers Bazarre and now for SILOU.
Our founder Tatiana Kovylina was our second model for the collection. With Tatiana being both an ex-model and a qualified yoga instructor, she helped showcase the beautiful movement elements of the collection. Tatiana effortlessly showcases how our garments are designed to move with the female form.
Mid-day we paused for some lunch at a quaint Spanish restaurant overlooking the beach called La Terrazza. The view was simply breathtaking. It was here that we could stop to reflect on the photoshoot and how lucky were to have such a great team, great location, and great weather! After a delicious feast, we hurried back to the set, eager to get those final shots at sunset.
